I have always been curious.
How does it work? What's that made of? How do you do that? What is the airspeed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?
I’ve explored many subjects and indulged in a lot of making. From designing and building furniture, or sewing a princess dress for my daughter to designing a bottle for a new line of nail polish, I see my varied experience and curiosity as true assets to my teaching. Having already worked as a graphic artist for 10+ years, I began my career as an educator at Nassau Community College. I quickly became invested in my student's work and their progress as artists. Since then I've worked in several schools and teaching environments. I now spend the majority of my time teaching. I have a wife and daughter, and way too many pets. I earned my undergraduate degree in education at Hofstra University and attained a 4.0 completing my Master's in Art Education at Eastern Illinois University.
Some career highlights include designing packaging for
a number of Grammy-nominated recordings, and designing interiors for the Women of the World Conference...
And hopefully sending designers and artists into the world with a little more creativity, enthusiasm, and growth, than when I met them.
Welcome!
